I had never shot at the Dana before and it is a phenomenal venue. The layout was all situated around beautiful San Diego Harbor with the ceremony being right on the lawn facing the shore. There was so much personality to this wedding and you could see the couple's quirky influence on everything. The color scheme the shoes, everything was so unique and beautiful. One of the highlights of the day was the couple's "rock the reception" routine instead of a traditional first dance. (see clip below) The couple has been together since high school so I used the song "Better" by Tom Baxter for their Cinema Reale. I thought the song was perfect for them because it talks about how their love has changed over the years, and has only gotten better. The clip is supplemented by the words a poem that was written by one of their young guests and read during the ceremony. It was an incredible original poem and had to be included in the video.
